This new affiliation and association with the Maine Downtown Center and Main Street America program could not have come at a more poignant time for Ellsworth. We now have the support of two entities who will assist us to support the small businesses in our downtown. Local Support for Small Business Owners
We have partnered with Machias Savings Bank to support our Main Street business community during these trying times. We are offering weekly ZOOM check-ins to connect community leaders with small business owners. Together we are working to identify opportunities and creative solutions of how to process our response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
If you are interested in joining our weekly mailing list that includes a ZOOM meeting invite please email cara@heartofellsworth.org We only have spots for 80 participants each week so sign up now.
Our next meeting is Friday, April 3 from 12-1pm.
Provender Kitchen + Bar is Feeding our Frontline Workers
Provender is participating in the #feedingthefrontline movement to support our first responders in the medical field. Every takeout dinner purchased directly contributes to grab n' go lunches for Maine Medical personnel that will be provided by Provender. If you order a meal, you are also giving a meal to a community member in the front line of this epidemic.
A Message from Dale Hamilton, Ellsworth City Council Chairman

Ellsworth Historical Society - Online ZOOM Meeting
Monday, April 13: 7:00pm
These words of President Roosevelt have never been more appropriate than at the present time. Even the bravest among us have some fear and uncertainty. But don't let fear of technology stop you from (virtually) attending the next meeting of the Ellsworth Historical Society via ZOOM. The platform is very user friendly and you don't need a ZOOM account to attend. Please email Bill to receive a link to join in the fun, but you'll have to provide your own cookies and coffee!

Jump in the Time Machine!
Thanks to a generous grant from the Maine Community Foundation, we are partnering with the Ellsworth Historical Society to bring you images of Ellsworth’s past. By highlighting historic downtown locations and events, we aim to foster a present-day pride and connection to our Main Street community. We invite you to visit ellsworthme.org/ellshistory/ and encourage your support of the Museum in the Streets project and archival work of the society.

Why donate to the Heart of Ellsworth?
Heart of Ellsworth remains focused and committed to economic growth through projects in the urban core.
Our vision seeks to fill storefronts on Main Street, secure a location for the Winter Farmers Market, develop the Union River waterfront with green space along the river, and identify and assist in the creation of more downtown housing options. Collectively, these enhance opportunities for both visitors and community members to enjoy all that Ellsworth has to offer.
Your contribution ensures that we can remain committed to these goals. We appreciate your support!
