Bangor Federal Credit Union Hosts 10th Annual Ending Hunger Golf Tournament

On Thursday, September 5th, Bangor Federal Credit Union held its 10th Annual Ending Hunger Golf Tournament to benefit their efforts to raise money for the Campaign to End Hunger. 13 teams hit the links, with dozens of sponsors supporting Bangor FCU’s efforts to combat food insecurity in our communities, an effort that brings credit unions across the state together.

“It’s fantastic that we get to do this event to benefit these different organizations that battle food insecurity in our backyards. It’s a growing problem, and the partners we deal with, their need grows every single year. We anecdotally hear stories of how they’re adding a dozen new families to their roster every week. I’ve only been a part of this for a few years now, but for us, every year to come here and raise close to $10,000 in a single day, and then at the end of the year have $30,000 to $40,000 to distribute, it’s a really awesome thing. It’s a great part of what we do, not only as an organization, but collectively with all credit unions across the state,” said Cody Morgan, Marketing Director for Bangor FCU.

If you’re interested in helping Bangor Federal in their continued fight against food insecurity in our communities, please
visit their website for more information, or contact them at (207) 947-0374.
