Meet Heart of Ellsworth Board Member-at-Large, Jon Stein!
Jon spends most of his time in Downtown Ellsworth at Fogtown Brewing Company, which he co-founded in 2017. He grew up in Pennsylvania and later studied biochemistry at Colorado College, and after some time working in the public health sector in South America and the Caribbean, he finally applied his science training to the brewing industry. Jon was drawn to Maine's great outdoors and bold coastlines, as well as its growth toward sustainable and locally-focused agriculture. Jon is passionate about community engagement, music and the arts, and bolstering good environmental practices through beer, music and events. Jon also spends his time as a volunteer DJ for WERU Community Radio, and occasionally teaches adult education courses in brewing. He lives in downtown Ellsworth with his dog, Sarah. "I joined Heart of Ellsworth to help facilitate a conversation between downtown businesses, citizens of Ellsworth, and city hall so that we can all work together to revitalize Ellsworth and continue to grow it into a cool, bustling downtown full of art, music and community engagement."

Why donate to the Heart of Ellsworth?
Heart of Ellsworth remains focused and committed to economic growth through projects in the urban core.
Our vision seeks to fill storefronts on Main Street, secure a location for the Winter Farmers Market, develop the Union River waterfront with green space along the river, and identify and assist in the creation of more downtown housing options. Collectively, these enhance opportunities for both visitors and community members to enjoy all that Ellsworth has to offer.
Your contribution ensures that we can remain committed to these goals. We appreciate your support!
