News from Main Street

Our hearts are broken by the loss of Ellsworth artist Ken Perrin. Ken was a long-time downtown resident, friend, and supporter of Heart of Ellsworth. He and his life partner, Linda Perrin, are pictured here at a Taste of Ellsworth celebration.

In 2004 Ken and Linda relocated their glass studio and business to 25 Pine Street. In 2014 they established Artsworth, a nonprofit dedicated to the exploration and discovery of the arts. Both of these hubs of creativity were one of Ken’s many gifts to Ellsworth. Currently, Atlantic Art Glass, Artsworth, and Fogtown Brewery are a magical trifecta of vibrancy for visitors and residents to enjoy in our downtown.

Ken was a visionary, a leader, and a mentor to artists and entrepreneurs alike. He always made time and had the perfect advice for any situation. Ken knew that Ellsworth needed art and we are beyond grateful to have caught his gaze. Our lives are so much richer because of his contributions and thank goodness he and Linda chose to locate their hot shop in our city 17 years ago.
